Trishuli River rafting is Nepal’s most popular whitewater adventure, suitable for both beginners and experienced rafters. This trip offers a chance to immerse in the country’s natural beauty, with scenic valleys, impressive gorges, untouched beaches, and a mix of exciting rapids and calmer sections. The Trishuli River originates from Gosainkunda, a Himalayan lake located northwest of Kathmandu. According to legend, Lord Shiva created three springs by striking his trident into a rocky mountain, and these springs became the sources of the Trishuli River, giving it its name. The best time for Trishuli rafting is from February to mid-June and September to January. July and August, during Nepal’s monsoon season, bring high water levels and strong rapids, making rafting more challenging during this period. On the river rafting grade scale (1 to 4+), the Trishuli River ranges from 3+ to 4. As long as you follow the rafting guide’s instructions, it is safe for everyone aged 10 and above, with life jackets ensuring participants can float on the river. We offer Trishuli River rafting trips on both a group joining and private basis. Group trips have fixed departures almost daily during the season, while private trips require a minimum group size of 5 people.
