Everest Base Camp trek

The Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek is Nepal’s most renowned trekking route, leading adventurers to the base of the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest (8,848 meters/29,029 feet). This journey traverses stunning mountain valleys, challenging high passes, and well-known Sherpa villages while showcasing exotic wildlife and plant life. Along the way, trekkers are treated to breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Ama Dablam, and other majestic peaks. A key highlight of the trek is immersing yourself in Sherpa culture, with its traditional villages, shrines, and historic landmarks. The trek begins in Lukla, entering the Sagarmatha National Park, and continues through scenic valleys. You will pass through the fascinating towns of Namche Bazaar, Khumjung, Tengboche, and Pangboche, where the locals maintain their deep-rooted cultural and spiritual practices. The region’s many monasteries and Chhortens reflect their strong connection to Tibetan Buddhism. As you ascend gradually, the trail crosses glaciers and moraines, eventually leading to Gorakshep after about a week of trekking. This spot serves as the base for reaching both Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar Mountain, sitting at over 5,000 meters in altitude.
